"Will the government pay out my bank loans, my water and electricity bills, my VAT arrears, my outstanding rent and my income tax?
In any normal democracy the answer to that question would be an immediate no. Governments are expected to use public funds in order to implement projects or investments in areas where it can achieve the common good more justly than the private sector would.
Not so in Malta. Our government has used €4.2 million of our hard-earned money to pay the bank loan, creditors, VAT arrears, outstanding rent, energy bills, income tax and capital gains tax of Cities Entertainment, a private company which had been running Cafe Premier"
