Well done Cyrus! Taqtax qalbek!

Everyone is asking who the hell leaked a charge-sheet from the police force to the press.
The PL and Maltastar keep telling us that Galea Curmi asked the Commissioner to "do something he couldn't do" (when in actual fact, they both revealed what this 'mysterious something' was).
MaltaToday and Joseph Muscat try to imply in the same articles and press releases that Galea Curmi tried both to force the Police to take action against Cyrus and his father 'to make him pay for his betrayal', and at the same time try to imply that he interfered to try to stop police action against him.
And while the PN is accused of being a dumb payback party, while the PL is accused of not properly vetting its potential candidates, and while poor Marvic's fetishes have been splattered all-over the media, everyone seems to miss who the real clown in this whole saga is.

I invite all those posting messages of "Well done", "Ahna warajk", "Taqtax qalbek", "Kuragg" on Cyrus's facebook page and profile, to send me their photos having sex. I would then similarly forward them to their employer, colleagues, family and friends, and maybe get the same "Well done" and "Kuragg" messages.

Kindly zip them before sending, I have no intention of viewing them myself.

Meanwhile, the best and most interesting comment on the Times so far is certainly this:

"Stephen Moyer
Today, 11:26
For all those of you who are too incompetent and narrow minded to get their facts straight, you should either keep your mouths shut or understand the specifics.
Firstly this case has nothing to do with politics or gay marriage and adoption so please do not veer off topic. This is about an evil act allegedly committed by Cyrus Engerer, and whether he is a public figure or not does not change the fact that he committed a severe crime and jeopardised not only Mr. Camilleri’s career, but more importantly his personal reputation.
Mr. Camilleri is a victim in this case and the only clown in this circus of events is Cyrus Engerer. He definitely deserves justice for what he has done as an act so cowardly is unspeakable.
All those of you who think this is a witch-hunt against Cyrus, don’t be fooled. Although we in the gay community had high hopes for Mr. Engerer, he does NOT deserve our sympathy or even our vote for that matter. Cyrus is a disappointment to our community and I will no longer stick my neck out for someone who has committed such an awful act to his ex lover.
A note to Mr. Camilleri – Stay strong, we are on your side. Justice will prevail.“

Elezzjoni għal Viċi Kap

Nemmen li l-Partit Nazzjonalista jeħtieġ Viċi-Kap li jkompli jsaħħaħ il-proċess ta' tiġdid li għaddej minnu l-Partit stess, biex ikun jista' jkompli jwettaq il-bidliet pożittivi f'pajjiżna. Għalhekk kien ta' pjaċir għalija li nhar is-Sibt li għadda kont wieħed minn tal-ewwel li iffirmajt in-nomina ta' Dr. Simon Busuttil għal din il-kariga tant importanti. Nawguralu minn qalbi.

Why I am dropping out of the Anti-ACTA protest

Like many avid internet users, I have followed with interest the debate about ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement). After reading numerous articles, watched sensational videos, and discussed ad nauseam with friends, I have realized that what I have come across is a campaign hi-jacked by lies, myths and misconceptions as to rival Malta's misinformed divorce referendum campaign. I have to say that the videos on Youtube   got me worried. I quickly signed the petition, joined the Anti-ACTA groups, and prepared myself for a full-blown fight against the big-governments who want to intrude on our privacy and freedom of expression. Like our MEP Edward Scicluna invited us to do in the University debate last Wednesday, I did not try to understand the details of ACTA but rather saw who the players behind it were. But as usual, my logical instincts took over, and his call to not try to understand ACTA actually pushed me to read the text. And here's what I now know: ACTA is ...

Who's the real monster?

I usually hate comparisons, but some very different reactions from the 'great unthinking' rabble do merit some analysis. In May this year, the notorious dog Star was found buried alive . A prima facie , this looked liked the most horrific case of animal cruelty, and is still considered so by some. The perpetrator was described by the sensitive and caring animal-lovers as a villain, a heartless monster, deserving of death, stoning, or even to be 'buried alive in the same manner'. But what did Mr. Vella actually do, according to the testimony heard in Court? Star was sick. It was shedding fur, and quite old already, and its owner did not afford the treatment. In trying to save some money from paying for the dog to be put to sleep and killed properly by vets, she gave it to Mr. Vella to have it killed himself. Nothing much to make people angry till now. Mercy-killing of very sick and suffering animals is widely done and usually a...
